Welcome to the first ever Download (or podcast) with Radio 1’s Rock Show host Daniel P Carter.

You’ll hear kick-arse interviews with the likes of Killswitch Engage, Machine Head, the mighty Gallows, Linkin Park, Enter Shikari and the legendary Iron Maiden front man, Bruce Dickinson.

This little baby is free for you to download to your computer and play on the listening device of your choice. It’s the perfect appetiser to your Feast of rock at Download this year. Plus if you’re having trouble getting tickets to the festival why not enter The Download Competition.

Just download ‘the Download’ and listen for Daniel Carter to give you the question you’ll need to enter. Once you’ve heard the question you can enter the Download competition. We met up with over 20 boardies at a room above a pub in Soho on Friday 27th April... and we've got the recordings to prove it!

Download festival staff discovered exactly what the fans think of the festival, and what they felt could be done to improve it for 2007. From handing in empty gas canisters and entering a prize draw to win tickets for Download 2008, to making sure that the milkshake man returns, all of the advice was taken on board with appreciation and considered for this years festival.

When asked about the value of having the Fan Forum, Festival Director Stuart Galbraith said "...The fact is I think, and I think you feel, it's as much your festival as it is ours... You told us what you want and we will try and deliver on it".
